long over due

I've seen my share of movies. I have pretty much the same thoughts on them all. They're "alright", meaning, they suck. Or, crap, meaning it was one of the worst movies of all time. But thats not to say that no movies are good. The highest compliment I could give to a movie, is to......BUY it. *gasp* for thouse of you who don't know, I am one of the bigest priates in pei. I take pride in pirating. Not only one the downloading, but also in uploading. If i diddn't upload anything, I actually wouldn't be breaking the law. That's the law in Canada, however, that's not very fair to everyone else. anyways, back to the movie. There have been 2 movies that I have bought. 1. Monty Python's The Quest For The Holy Grail. It really is just that good. and 2. The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. Not a good movie, I know, but the books were so good, I just couldn't refuse. Now, about the movie I just saw. I'm writing this from a truck, on notepad, while waiting to try to get on a wireless network.

The movie I saw today was The Lady In The Water. I really diddn't know what to expect from this movie. I had seen it protraid as a horror movie, or as a movie that could touch people, or as a bedtime story. I diddn't even know what it was about. Now. This is a very interesting movie. If you want your movies to be very believalbe, this probably isn't for you, some would say it's to "far fetched" I loved it. I plan to buy it whenever it comes out. I don't really know how to describe it. When the movie ended, I just sat there. I diddn't want to leave. And it was the same for the other 7 people in the Theator. Usually I start getting bored at the end, and i'm happy when there over. This was not the case for this movie. I just wanted to sit there. However, Tara, my 13 year-old cousin who I was with wanted to leave. She wasn't very interested in it. Anyways. I'll use TotalTalk Nonsences's rateing system, and give it 5 spiny normans out of 5. And kris, I don't think X-play invented the "out of 5" rating system.

Kris hates the saying, " BAM, son! " and that is why i choose to use it as a title to this entry, not because i have anything intelligent to say, although i could give a review to the movie i watched last night, but it's been out of theatres forever. but i won't go into that because i still don't know what was going on. i get distracted very easily :P but yeah.. enough about that. you wouldn't want to know anyways.

i've been working everyday now, and the past week i have been working from 8 am til 7 pm with only one hour off for lunch. so yeah, i've been busy and tired and not enough time for updates on the blog. but it's sunday and it's my day to relax.

went to summerside last night, had a grand old time. that's all you really have to know. on my way home i had to detour through alberton because there was an accident by elmsdale corner and i didn't want to drive straight through it so i turned and went home the long long way through alberton. no worries. i wanted a milkshake from huntley anyway, the only problem was... by the time i got to huntley it was closed. gr. they close awfully early.. anyways. when i got home i went to bed and here i was, 10:30 in the a.m. and i'm wide awake. so much for my day to relax eh?

Welcome to my first of i hope many Movie reviews. THis blog is somewhat special as it is the first that I have done off of another peresons computer. Why am I not at my house on my inquire? The answer is that I went to see Clerks 2 with my D&D buddies and my oldest friend Matt Crafer. Enough about me though to the movie.


Clerks 2

Tonight i went to see one of the movie that I have been looking forwards too for quite awile. I was a big fan of the Original Clerks and i have to say, up front, that this one did not measure up to the original. Now that is not to saw that it is a bad movie. I fact it is quite interesting in a way that was quite different from the previous films. The basic premis of the movie is that Dante is moving away with his fiance. This basically sets the tone for the movie as firmly in the "Grow up" Genre. Through the movie we can see the problems this causes with Dantes friends.

Yes they were back, hanging out in front of the Fast-food shop were Dante and Randal work now still selling drugs and fucking around. There were a few disturbing scenes including one were Jay had frontal nudity with his hoo-haw squeezed behind his legs(O_o) yes for real. Bob's only speaking part in this movie really pissed me off though. Usually Bob has one speaking part in all the movies wherein he proves that he is intellegent and not mute. Thses lines are usually a part large part of the story but NO not thing time. THis time he had three throwaway lines right before the part were the crisis was resloved and i expected him to talk.

The story was rather good but drawn out to make room for jokes (hey I am not complaining) there ARE some good joke in this jobby of a movie. I particularilay like the Lord of The Rings bit in the middle of the film and the Donkey thing...yeah go see the movie im not ruining the donkey thing for you.

anyway i think i might use the X-play rating system and give Clerks 2 a 3 out of 5. It is worth seeing and better than your average crap that seems to come out of hollywood these days. I guess Clerks got way too mainstream for me to like it as much.

Those metal dicks that sit across from the COrner in school. You know that buch with teh one guy who looks Gay and has the Scarf?

Yeah I hate those posers. I am way more Indiy than they are. They spend hundereds of dollars just to look like they are hardcore and dont care what they wear. I AM hardcore. I seriously spend about 30 dollars a year on clothes. I tie my swaeter around my waist not because it looks "cool" but because i have nowere else to put it. Those dicks wear blazers and crap because they want to make a staement. Statments aren't made like that, if you want to be hardcore indy then you just wear whatever is lying around. They spend way too much on crap clothes that could never be comfortable (blazers jump to mind(also scarfs, who wears a scarf in the summer?))
